To have week-end of racing with a friendly yet competitive atmosphere.
Controlled (grouped by class) practice on Saturday with 85 minutes per ‘round’. Five rounds of qualifying (four on Sunday and one on Monday) with finals decided by round by round points the best two results counting. Three leg finals for all on Monday (best two from three to count with qualifying position as a tie breaker). This may be subject to change in the event of the intervention of, unwanted, inclement weather.
Heats will consist of up to ten cars. 'A' and 'B' finals for all classes will consist of ten cars. Remaining finals will also consist of ten cars if practical BUT the club reserves the right to adjust drivers per final to suit entry numbers.
Four classes will exist as follows running in general to BRCA rules except as noted:
Pro Stock and Super Touring (Modified) approved motor lists are available on the BRCA Electric Board web site under the homologation lists section. 2008 and 2007 cell lists are available under the same homologation lists section. The latest BRCA approved LiPo list is available here (updated 21st July 2008).
Classes: The club reserves the right to combine classes if there are insufficient entries in certain classes.
A control tyre will be used for the meeting. The tyre will be a pre-glued BRCA Sorex 32R, part number XG32CM which are marked on the wheel RevLite Pre-Glued. Limit of TWELVE (three sets) of 'slick' tyres for the event per competitor. Sets to be presented for pre-marking, to scrutineering, with issued tyre stickers stuck to the inside of the rim.
Treaded tyres may be used in the event of WET conditions. Additives are NOT allowed in wet conditions on any type of tyres.
Any tyres of any make can be used in Saturday practice and will not be scrutineered.
Any commercially available (in the UK) Touring Car or GT bodyshell may be used in any class. Must be fitted as per BRCA handbook.
Cars must conform to BRCA rules regarding weight and dimensions.
Entries will cost £12 for adults and £8 for juniors. A driver may only enter a single class. Camping will be available on Saturday and Sunday night and cost £5 per night to be paid on the day. Book in at http://cb.wlrc.co.uk. On the day entries, subject to available spaces, will be offered first to reserves then be offered to anyone wishing to compete. Entry fees paid on the day will be subject to a £5 surcharge.
Cancellations more than two weeks before the meeting will receive a refund less a £2 handling fee. Cancellations made within two weeks of the meeting (i.e. from 11th August 2008 onwards) will NOT be refunded.
