WLRC Annual General Meeting 2008
Summary of proposal voting from WLRC AGM 2008 held on Sunday 9th
November 2008.
Proposals
- To open up the Super Touring [5 cell] class to allow use of Li-Po
cells...
Limit motor to 6.5 turns brushless [12t] min weight of 1500grms...
Limit motor to 10.5 turns brushless [19t] min weight of
1350grms...
Proposal amended to allow 6.5 turn brushless with LiPo only as
per BRCA rules. PASSED.
- To re-introduce the Super Stock class..Proposal
withdrawn as not seconded.
Motor limit of 13.5 brushless [27t] minimum weight 1350grms...
Intention is to leave current Stock class [27t] as is... This
class has served its purpose well and have no wish to change it... Now
Li-po usage is approaching 100% amongst experts/improvers lets seek to
take advantage [properly] of its weight advantage... Depending on entry
levels could mix in with Pro-stock for qualifying... [separating out for
finals?] Expect pace to be similiar to Pro-Stock??...
- To allow the use of 17.5 brushless motors in the current Stock class
[27t]...PASSED
To enable newcomers/beginners/improvers the use of BL motors
without getting 'involved' with the [faster] more 'expert' orientated
classes...
- To delete the rule allowing the use of 4cell 'Modified' in the
Pro-Stock class...PASSED
These cars have different power/handling characteristics due to
their different power/weight. This can cause an uneven playing field in
a popular class.
- For the Winter Series ONLY use a modified version of round by round
qualifying. Best two from four rounds to count with a round for a class
only counting if at least half the entries in that class complete five
laps. In the event of the first three rounds being 'lost' due to
insufficient cars completing enough laps the fourth round will count
regardless...PASSED
In the winter, on a 'normal' day the track gets quicker as it
dries and 'cleans' up. Using round by round means drivers are rewarded
for putting in a good run in an earlier round and no driver is unduly
penalised for failing to post a time in the single quickest round. The
modification [to have at least half the drivers needing to set a time]
means that if a round is unduly wet and drivers do not venture out then
those that do go out do not gain an unfair advantage due to fewer
drivers competing the round (which was what blighted Round by Round at
the KO GP).
- To create an additional class for 13.5 [27t] with a minimum weight of
1500 grms...Proposal withdrawn as not seconded
This will be non-championship... If less than six entries class to
be merged with Pro-Stock as is current practice...
This will allow drivers from other series to race/practice at West
London within their own class... Non-championship status as there may
not be sufficient [club] interest to support class for entire series...
- Allow the 'new' GT10 class to run along side existing Pro10/F1
class...PASSED
Assuming minimum entry requirement of six.
Allows drivers the opportunity of racing in this 'new' [exciting]
class should they wish...
